Risk assessment of hot and humid environments through an integrated fuzzy AHP-VIKOR method

Working in hot and humid environments can jeopardize the health safety of workers reduce their efficiency. Different physical, environmental, human factors influence risk level working these atmospheres. Therefore, assessment such atmospheres must be carried out from a holistic point view. This paper aims to introduce novel prioritization model, using hybrid AHP VIKOR methods fuzzy environment. The method was adopted determine importance (weight) influencing parameters. Also, as compromise solution applied rank different stations against criteria. Fuzzy set theory used handle inherent ambiguity vagueness data encountered evaluation process. Furthermore, TOPSIS further represent efficacy proposed model. To demonstrate applicability small size foundry shop selected real case sensitivity analysis performed confirm validity results revealed that “Environment” has most contribution (WE = 0.615). That is followed by “Temperature” (WDBT 0.268), “Air velocity” (WAV 0.170), “Safety training” (WST 0.161), “Mean radiant intensity” (WMRT 0.110), “Humidity” (WH 0.066), “Seniority structure” (WSS 0.063), “Work (WWI 0.058), “PPE” (WPPE 0.047), nature” 0.034), “ Work duration” (WT 0.022), sub-factors. Using F-VIKOR method, “melting furnace” workstation determined with index value Q 1.
